Will there be no NYT banner headlines by February 28?

This market will resolve according to the number of dates on which a front page banner headline is published in the standard-issue New York Times daily paper between market creation and February 28, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Banner Headline refers to a New York Times front page headline which is bordered on the sides only by white space. Previous examples may be viewed through the New York Times Front Page Reprint portal (https://store.nytimes.com/products/new-york-times-front-page-reprint). Dates of qualifying examples include the banner headlines on January 5, 2026, January 4, 2026, November 7, 2024, February 25, 2022, and July 21, 1969. The resolution source for this market will be the New York Times Front Page Reprint portal (https://store.nytimes.com/products/new-york-times-front-page-reprint). If this portal has not published a front page for a date within this market’s timeframe by the listed end date, a consensus of credible sources displaying the New York Times standard-issue front page for that day may be used.
